De Pere Resident Wins Trip to Ireland
Trulley Irish Gifts is thrilled to announce the 2010 “Home to Ireland” contest winner, a very surprised and grateful Ellen Scheibe of De Pere. The contest is sponsored by the North American Celtic Trade Association (NACTA) through its member retailers and by CIE Tours International. Trulley Irish Gifts held a drawing on St. Patrick’s Day for a store gift certificate and an entry into the national drawing. The national drawing was held on April 18, 2010, at the trade show in Secaucus, New Jersey, and Ellen’s name was drawn again.
Ellen, who works at Syble Hopp School, plans to travel with her mother, Rita Scheibe. Mike Trulley, co-owner of Trulley Irish Gifts, said, “Ellen volunteered to run the St. Patrick’s Day dinner at St. Francis Xavier Parish in De Pere this year, and God must be blessing her for her efforts.” Rita is very proud of her Irish heritage and has worked very hard all her life, most recently at St. Norbert Abbey. She says she never imagined that she would have the opportunity to visit this beautiful country. Ellen receives a trip for two on CIE’s Irish Heritage Tour in addition to a $1,500 air-travel voucher sponsored by NACTA.
The trip is an eight-day luxury coach tour, which will take them to Dublin, Waterford, Cork, and Killarney. Ellen and Rita will enjoy a medieval banquet in a 15th century castle, as well as visit the Cliffs of Moher, the Ring of Kerry, Blarney Castle, and many wonderful places. “Ireland has so much to offer its visitors, from the welcoming nature of the Irish people to the breathtaking landscape, the music, and the charm,” said shop owner Anne Trulley. “Ireland is a warm and magical place, and that is why we jumped at the chance to help co-sponsor this lovely trip.” Anne and Mike Trulley wish to congratulate Ellen and Rita on their luck of the Irish.
Trulley Irish Gifts is an authorized seller of trips with CIE Tours International, through NACTA. The store offers a wide variety of fine authentic Irish products.
